In 2018 David Schwimmer left New York for London to take over LSEG, then best known for its Stock Exchange business employing around 3,000 people. His bold vision enabled the transformation of LSEG from a listings company to a modern day global financial market infrastructure and data leader. Today LSEG’s workforce is over 27,000 and rising. Previously David spent two decades at Goldman Sachs in senior roles, including Global Head of Market Structure.
Working closely with David on LSEG’s culture transformation is Chief People Officer and proud Irishwoman Erica Bourne who joined from Burberry in 2023. Erica has a storied career that includes a 12 years with American Express, where she was Executive Vice President leading an HR team across more than 30 countries supporting a workforce of 54,000 employees.

Rafal Brzoska – Founder & CEO of InPost

Rafal Brzoska’s entrepreneurial journey is truly remarkable. In 2006 he founded InPost in his home country Poland, where state control of the postal service placed huge restrictions on the private sector. Rafal managed to circumvent this by innovating a weighted envelope that met the legal restrictions, and within a short space of time InPost had captured the majority of the Polish delivery market. Soon international expansion loomed with major acquisitions across Europe. In 2021 InPost IPO’d on the Dutch Stock Exchange, securing one of the biggest European IPO’s that year, and today the company operates in over 14 territories and with over 40,000 employees globally. In this episode Rafal explains how he built a company culture to deliver this growth, and he shares his passion for philanthropy which he works on with his wife Polish TV star Omenaa Mensah. Sung-Joo Kim, Chairperson and owner of MCM Worldwide, is a true inspiration. In 2005 her company Sungjoo Group acquired MCM, then a struggling German luxury heritage fashion brand. Industry insiders were sceptical; but Mrs Kim proved her doubters wrong by turning the company into a multi billion-dollar fashion behemoth securing some of most coveted high profile collaborations and opening over 500 stores worldwide. The biggest surprise of all is the company is still private and Mrs Kim owns 100% shares.

Roland Rudd and Lord Mervyn Davies come from very different backgrounds but share a vision on how to build winning teams and their successful track record proves it!
After many years as a financial journalist with long stint at the FT, in 1994 Roland launched financial industry PR Firm Finsbury. Soon it was the leading firm of its kind in the UK. A few mergers and acquisitions later and a rebrand to Finsbury Glover Hering the firm is now one of the biggest in the world. KKR recently bought a majority stake creating a new double Unicorn valuation company FGS Global. In addition to this Roland is the Chair of Tate Museums & Galleries and has been a major donor to the arts.
For over two decades Lord Mervyn Davies had a stellar corporate career in the financial sector, first at Citi Group and then eventually becoming Chairman of Standard Charter PLC. From there he would move into Private Equity and more recently as Chairman of L1 Holdings, an investment group with over 100,000 employees globally and portfolio companies including some of the leading brands on the High Street. Lord Davies is a keen supporter of the creative industries and sports. He is Chair of Glyndebourne and has just partnered with football Greats Gary Neville and Sir David Beckham to buy Salford City FC.
